'Real Housewives of NJ's' Teresa Giudice is bankrupt to the tune of $11 million?
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Teresa Giudice is a TV star, her cookbook, "Skinny Italian," is a bestseller and her husband, Joe Giudice, owns his own stucco and stone company, but all of that can't keep up with their life of bling if there isn't enough ching.Popeater reports that the couple filed bankruptcy in Newark Federal Court and the papers show that the couple only makes $79,000 a year between them.
Hmm, it now makes sense that Teresa claims they pay for everything in cash - if this is true then the bank would take it if they deposited the money!

- Joe makes only $3,250 monthly from his business and Teresa earns a sad $3,333 a month from Bravo. Oh, and the New York Post reports that the couple gets an extra $10,000 a month from family members!
- Their huge $1.8 million mansion in Towaco, NJ, which Teresa spent all of Season 1 obsessively accessorizing with real marble, is in foreclosure. That, of course, would be in addition to a foreclosure on their Jersey Shore vacation home and an investment property that was foreclosed on in Lincoln Park, NJ last year.
- It would seem that Teresa and Joe aren't as naturally fertile as they claim. They allegedly owe $12,000 to a fertility clinic.
- That Cadillac Escalade that Joe said is getting too small for their growing family? They've supposedly defaulted on the payments.
- And you know all those thousands of dollars Teresa drops on the kids' and her own clothing on the show? According to the alleged court papers, Teresa claims that she only spends $400 a month on clothes!
We love Teresa and her over the top spending habits, but if this is true we feel duped!

Has anyone actually seen the papers to prove this though? I would think that if it was true that one of the media outlets would have had them posted since they're public information.

Wow, filed in October of 2009 though! Why are we just learning about this now and what happened with this case?
first off, the husband clearly does something for the mafia or something like, oh yeah ten thousand from family members, yeah okay. I knew it, there was no way his construction business made millions. I am sure that it does make more than that but they are clearly doing something illegal. good Teresa gets what she deserves she always acted so pompous and rich and now its coming back to bite her.
Why is everyone so shocked. No one spends that kind of money, not even the Rockefellers, therefore she had to see it coming. I hope Teresa can get a a nice budget and learn to do without the best of everything. I feel so sorry for them and the children. Living within your means is the way to go.

It seems that there's probably going to be more news about this at some point because I can't see how criminally there isn't something going on. In order to qualify for these huge mortgages they would either need to have the income or lie on the application. If they have the income and the apps are legitimate, that means they're lying in the bankruptcy filing and probably to the IRS. If the apps are falsified, they lied on a financial document to secure a loan which is also a crime. It doesn't seem they can win either way here, does it?
I knew something did not add up. I make more money than both of them combined and I have a modest home and an 11 year old car and I am ok, but not comfortable. When I saw her in that furniture store counting out over a hundred thou' I knew that they are shady. Remember, Caroline was crying because someone had said that her father-in-law was mafia and that is where their money came from. I know that they make money from the show, but other people who have real money can't spend like them. Trust me - right now the IRS is digging into all of their finances and everything else about them.
