Ode to Kylie Minogue: 'All the Lovers' plus 5 more breakthrough music videos
Kylie Minogue, the Australian sprite who's just Kylie to us fans, just released the riotously sexy street orgy of a new video for "All the Lovers," her first single off her eleventh studio album, "Aphrodite," which drops on July 6.
We don't believe that it's an understatement that current artists like Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears (oops, we said "current artists," right?) owe some thanks to Kylie.
She has mastered the role of pop art turned pop artist and she displays that image proudly. Academics have explored her amazing ability to portray the essence of pop: forever young, eternally relevant and constantly redefining herself. Not to mention, her music always gets our booty shake on.
After more than 68 million records sold and at age 42, Kylie looks even better than she did when she debuted internationally in 1988. Critics have pitted her against another pop icon you may know, Madonna. Kylie has never been shy about being inspired by the Queen of Pop. But, there's definitely a difference between their pop aesthetics. UK's The Telegraph paraphrased gay crooner Rufus Wainwright's assessment of the two icons when it wrote, "Simply, Madonna is the dark force; Kylie is the light force." And, we could bask in Kylie's brand of light forever.
Here are our Top 5 breakthrough Kylie videos:
1.) "Can't Get You Out of My Head" (2001)
2.) "Better the Devil You Know" (1990)
3.) "Slow" (2003)
4.) "Come Into My World" (2002)
5.) "In My Arms" (2008)
Honorable mentions:
"Locomotion" (1988)
"Spinning Around" (2000)
Don't agree with our list? What do you think Kylie's breakthrough videos are?

I saw them filming the Kylie video downtown a few weeks ago.
Are you trying to insinuate that Britney Spears isn't a current artist? If so, that could be the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard.
