Miley Cyrus on faked lesbian kiss: 'Get over it'
Miley Cyrus can't seem to believe that she's making headlines for just "rocking out." The 17-year-old took to her fan site blog to address the lesbian kiss that she and one of her female back-up dancers simulated during a performance of her song "Can't Be Tamed" on "Britain's Got Talent" Thursday night (June 3).
"To all my fans," she writes. "Thank you for all the support you all show me ... during my performance I supposedly 'KISSED A GIRL' and this is the newest thing to cause controversy. I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers cant even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story.
"I really hope my fans are not disappointed in me because the truth is I did nothing wrong."
The teen then turns her attention to the media and had less kind words for them. She even hits the caps lock key.
"GET OVER IT! NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE ARE WAYYYYYYY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD," she says. "Lets start focusing a little less on making up ignorant rumors and focus a little more on world peace!"
Cyrus has had a history of defending her actions such as pole dancing, lap dancing or posing for slant-eyed photos, mainly because of her young age and her apparent joie de vivre that's supported by her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

She had me in her corner until she started blabbering about world peace. How typical of some idiot celebrity with no idea of what's going on in the world.
Yet another entertainer who seems intent on alienating the fans she has, in favor of new, cooler fans that oscillate.
Perhaps a government program to help these celebrities might be just the thing, as they make the transition from one set of fans to another set of fans, and then ultimately, to box fans.
she is so naive to think that it wouldn't make news
No Miley, we don't need to "get over it," it's more like we're over YOU.
your just pissed she makes about $1000 per appearance on these type of shows
She do the best she can do leave her alone like miley said GET OVER IT and i alway a miley fan
Jess, learn proper grammar and punctuaction. It's obvious you're a Miley fan. Most of her fans are too stupid to function in society.
I like how Miley says "I DID NOTHING WRONG"
What is that suppose to even mean?
Sure if you are a lesbian kissing a girl is not wrong ... if you are a lesbian..
BUT REALLY
If you Fake Kiss a girl then denounce it.. what does that mean? Who is she catering to?
It is obviously offensive to someone who is Homosexual to denounce it so strongly as if she was accused of armed robbery.
and If she is straight and denouncing it to appease her younger fans or their parents then why even do it in the first place...
Be true to yourself...
If you are gay you are gay.
If you are not gay ... well you know.
Interesting though we are seeing this big change in her just when she is turning 18 .. durring her last year of Hannah Montana ....
AND JUST AFTER BREAKING UP WITH HER BOYFRIEND / ADULT MALE GUY ... too old to have relations with her unless he wanted to go to jail...
hmmmm
Whatever the truth is and whatever the reasons ... Miley needs to come to terms with herself quick because ..
You can't please everyone in this world but if you make a point of screwing up your own head at this point in her life age 17 / 19 ... it will stick in her head for the rest of her life.
Its one real good way for her to end up with broken marriages... messed up relationships... and a world of pain...
Be true to yourself and you can always live with yourself.
She did it because she knew it would get her in the news.
Grow up Miley!
I love that performers are resorting to pretending to kiss members of the same sex in order to generate controversy. Now she has to backpedal from the simulated act, stating that she "did nothing wrong" - inadvertently suggesting that to kiss a member of the same sex IS wrong.
Perhaps Miss Cyrus should just get off the fence. Either you do it, or you don't, and if you don't think it's right, then don't do it. Using queer sex as a shorthand for "rebel" is disrespectful to her gay fanbase and alienates her from her Christian fanbase. So... lose, lose.
