Laird Hamilton, Gabrielle Reece on the Gulf Oil Disaster

Ocean-loving volleyball champ Gabrielle Reece and her world class surfer husband Laird Hamilton have joined the growing list of celebrities trying to increase awareness about damage caused in the Gulf Oil Disaster.

The couple recently toured the oil and tar poisoned waters of the Gulf Coast with Natural Resources Defense Council staff members.

On a boat near Grand Isle, Louisiana, Reece and Hamilton witnessed firsthand the destruction the BP oil spill has inflicted on the ocean and its creatures, including dolphins, pelicans and fish.

The couple also reflects about their love for the marine environment and why it's important to fight to protect it. "Never let this happen again," says Laird. "Never allow it happen again."
