Jessie Lunderby: An Arkansas jailer poses for Playboy, put on administrative leave

jessie-lunderby-playboy.jpgJessie Lunderby is a 21-year-old jailer from Washington County, Arkansas who is causing quite a stir because of her recent photo on Playboy.com.

KSLA News is reporting that she was put on "administrative leave" for the photo, which she took in her own time, off-duty from work. Officials of the Washington County Sheriff's Office say they're investigating to determine if her out-of-uniform photos violate policy.

Lunderby is specifically being investigated for "conduct unbecoming of an officer" and for failing to get permission for off-duty work. But Jessie says she did get permission and that it wasn't an issue until the photos came out, according to Arkansas Online.

But Lunderby is happy she posed for the famed men's magazine's website, even if her phone is going crazy and her email is clogged, she tells a local TV station.

We have to say -- this is reminding us of our very favorite Lifetime movie. It's called "I Posed for Playboy" and stars Lynda Carter and Amanda Peterson. You really should check it out sometime if you are not familiar.

We hope Jessie gets this sorted out -- it's not like she's even fully nude! The Dish Rag calls shenanigans on the administrative leave.

Um, no. There are different society standards for various professions. The young lady might have a difficult time maintaining order with prisoners who have viewed the image. In a similar vein, would you want to see a school teacher walking into an x-rated movie theatre? How about your doctor doing a drunken wet t-shirt contest on YouTube? What about a police officer moonlighting as a dancer at a strip club? If you choose to work in certain fields, then you choose to be aware of how your private life impacts the perception of how you do that job. She's 21 and clearly "hot". Methinks she can get other work.

I thought we lived in a free country,I guess we are all miss informend. It should be a violation of her sivial rights to place her on administrative leave fo something she did on her own time. What this does is put someone on probation for wearing moore then most women wear to the beach,or on TV.I think Jessie Launderby shoul file a complaint to the sivial wrights commision, write a letter to the president to bring this point to his attention. The men and women who are in the County jail are over 18 and adults, there for they just need to grow up if they are un able to handle the pictures or her apperiance.

Well Roger, we do live in a free country... she's free to do as she pleases, and so is her employer. Unfortunately "common sense" isn't required by the Constitution. Please give a little thought to what you say before you just blather.

Good riddance to her. She can find another job where she takes off her clothes. She and every other stupid woman who take their clothes off for a stroke magazine set women back 50 years.

Ell, you set us ALL back 50 years by calling it a "stroke magazine!!" gross.

oh somebodys been a naughty boy, in arkansas need to go to jail.

I am of course talking about bill clinton.

USA is not a free country for first, it's dictatorship of the wealthy.

Second. There's no harm to anyone in doing some nude modelling.
What she does on her free time is her own business, if it ain't breaking tha law.

As a law Enforcement officer, regardless if you work in the jail or on the streets you have a reasonability of character to the department you work for. Taking your cloth off is not of character for a law enforcement agency. Would you want someone working for you that is a porn star? No! Male or Female, Therefore they did the right thing.

I'm 18, and I work in an area around kids and there is a certain manner you have to up hold not only at work but also outside of work. She has put herself in danger, being a prison guard, it only take a few days for that picture to go ar9ound and she will be getting sexual harrased by the jail in mates. Now I personally think it was a smart choice and for her own safety for her to be taken out of that enviroment. I also feel that she is destroying her chance of demanding respect about no only her bady but also about her jobs. How can she demand any if she is willing to strip for a mag and show her body off to the world
