Heidi Montag hires PI to investigate Spencer Pratt's affair?

More drama in Speidi-ville!

Former "Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are now accusing each other of having extramarital affairs. 

Which is a great way to fuel the faux separation rumors and build buzz for Heidi's proposed summer reality show, because so far no network has snatched it up. And if this total lack of interest continues, they may have to call the "show" what it really is: Heidi and Spencer's summer vacation video.

According to Radaronline, Heidi has reportedly hired a PI (not a psychic?) to find out the truth. The Dish Rag wonders why she doesn't just hire the paparazzi who are already following both of them. Oh, wait. That's right. They just turn up when they're tipped off by the Speidi camp.

Meanwhile, Spencer thinks she's got a thing going with Cougar Zank, his former friend, a Marine/bodyguard/actor, who is letting Heidi stay at his Malibu pad during their faux separation.

Heidi wants to know if Spencer has been seeing another woman since their May split. Specifically, she wants to find out  if he's spent any money on the floozy. Because that be, like, a total betrayal.

First, do you think there's another woman deluded enough to fall for Spencer Pratt? And second, why do these two create and thrive on all this silly drama? Oh, yeah. Attention and money.
