'Gossip Girl's' Chace Crawford arrested for marijuana possession

"Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford was busted on June 4 in Plano, Texas for marijuana possession, according to TMZ. He and a friend were in a parking lot outside of Ringo's Pub when cops searched his car and found one unlit joint. Crawford was taken to jail just after midnight on Friday morning and charged with possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, which is a misdemeanor in Texas. He paid bond and was released from jail. Of course, even in his mug shot and jail-issue orange uniform, Crawford looks every bit the CW hunk he is.
In Texas, it is possible to be sent to jail for marijuana possession, even though this is Crawford's first run-in with the law on record. Most first offenders, however, pay a fine and do community service in lieu of serving jail time.
"Gossip Girl" is currently on hiatus and is expected to resume filming in New York City and Paris, France in July.

On what grounds did they search his car to begin with? They need probable cause - and even then the search must be for specific items.
Dudes you got caught with pot (or any kind of drugs) you go to a jail no matter if there are rapist or murders on the streets drugs are drugs man even if there "not that bad"
