Gary Coleman's ex-wife's disturbing 911 call, her right to make medical decisions confirmed
So many questions surrounding the death of "Diff'rent Strokes" star Gary Coleman and who we've come to find out is his ex-wife, Shannon Price.
In the 911 call from ABC News above, Price is clearly in shock. At times, though, she refuses to go in and help Coleman while he's lying in a pool of blood. She mentions that she has been feeling sick and doesn't want to faint. The 911 operator is insistent that Price put pressure on the wound, but she won't do it herself. Instead, she asked a dying Coleman to do it himself.
The 911 call is another strange turn in a chain of strange events. One that will add more questions to the pile regarding Coleman's death.
Thankfully, one question has been answered. Did Gary Coleman's ex-wife have the right to make medical decisions for the actor if he was incapacitated and unable to do so? In a statement from the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center to E! Online, the answer is yes.
The statement reads, "Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive that granted Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so."
The statement goes on to say that the permission continues to be legally binding regardless of changes in marital status, unless the patient modifies it.
What's your take on the 911 call?
