Eminem's 'Recovery' hits the web two weeks early; he's 'Not Afraid' (maybe)
Eminem's album "Recovery" wasn't slated for release until June 22 -- but it's already fallen victim to an early Internet leak. The prognosis? Too early to tell.
"Recovery" hit the web Monday (June 7), and reviews of the rapper's latest album have been posting on fan forums just as fast as it's spread. Some good -- some not so good.
As for the lucky celebrity targets on this Eminem album? Elton John, Michael Vick, Aquaman, Michael J. Fox and Mariah Carey are among the names referenced on "Recovery."
Rihanna and Pink collaborate with Slim Shady on "Love the Way You Lie" and "Won't Back Down," respectively. Lil Wayne is also featured on the soon-to-be officially released in stores album.
The album's first single, "Not Afraid," hit the radio April 30, and the video (above) just premiered on Sunday (June 6). No official word yet if the single's title represents how he feels about his album's early leak.
