Tyler Lambert, son of Dana Plato of 'Diff'rent Strokes,' commits suicide
Tyler Lambert, the 25-year-old son of "Diff'rent Strokes" star Dana Plato, took his own life on May 6, 2010, nearly 11 years to the day of the suicide of his mother, reports PopEater. Lambert's mother Dana committed suicide by overdosing on prescription medication on May 8, 1999.The Tulsa Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says that Lambert died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head and that toxicology results are still pending. A not-yet-available National Enquirer piece has Lambert's grandmother Joni Richardson saying that Lambert "wanted to be with his mother. His father Lanny is devastated." Lanny Lambert and Dana Plato divorced in 1990 after six years of marriage.
The "Diff'rent Strokes" cast has been plagued with troubles, as star Todd Bridges fought drug addiction, though now he is clean and sober and tours the country speaking about the dangers of drug use, and star Gary Coleman has had well-publiczed money problems and also gained national attention when he punched a woman while working as a security guard at a mall.

Cute kid - looks exactly like his mother. What a shame.....
wow Paul, that's exactly what i was thinking. Poor kid, RIP.
Very sad. My little brother took his own life nearly 7 years ago and I know how it feels to be haunted with thoughts of doing the same.
suicide is not the answer you have a lot to live for it's stupid and selfish.
