'Twilight's' Ashley Greene, Hayden Panettiere offered 'Scream 4'

Now that Ashley Greene has locked up her deal for "Twilight: Breaking Dawn," she could be moving on to another franchise.Greene has been offered a role in "Scream 4," director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson's restart of the self-aware horror-movie series. Offers have also gone out to Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin, and Lake Bell is in negotiations to join the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision.
Greene, Panettiere and Co. would join original "Scream" stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox in the movie -- and potentially step up to star in further sequels. Greene has been offered the role of Sidney's (Campbell) cousin, who's the heroine of the movie, while Panettiere would play her film-geek BFF. Bell is talking about playing a cop who knew Sidney in high school, and Culkin is being considered as a love interest for Greene's character.
Based on the pattern of the previous "Scream" movies, Panettiere and Culkin might want to watch their backs.
If the actors take the parts they've been offered, they might be doing it partly on faith. Heat Vision says Dimension Films, which is producing the movie, won't send the script out to the actors' reps in an effort to keep it secret.
