'Sex and the City' stars address rumors of their epic feuds

The rumors of feuds between the "Sex and the City" women have gone back all the way to their roots on the HBO network.

They've pretty much denied the chatter. But in a recent interview, they're acknowledging fights happen.

"When you're on set, you're working 90-hour weeks, you're never home, you're exhausted," Sarah Jessica Parker told Marie Claire magazine. "There are times when all of us have been sensitive, and sometimes feelings get hurt. But I don't have any regrets about how I've treated people."

Go ahead with your no regrets, SJP! At any rate, The Dish Rag has heard its fair share of stories about fights between the women.

The most oft-repeated rumor is the one about a Parker - Kim Cattrall feud that has raged for years. Cattrall has been accused of keeping the first movie from production by refusing to sign on for salary reasons. She tells the magazine that the women have very strong chemistry and offers her own explanation for the rumors.

"The press has to put women in these boxes, rather than show them as the movie portrays them: working together and being powerful," says Cattrall. "Things just have to be explosive for no other reason than for people's imaginations."

Probably our most favorite statement on the infighting comes from Cynthia Nixon, who, like Parker, recognizes that the women aren't always skipping arm-in-arm in a field of daisies.

"It hasn't always been smooth sailing," Nixon admits. "But the idea that we're somehow adversarial is ludicrous."
