Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih explains her 'Stripper 101' pics
Rima Fakih says if she's guilty of anything, it's of being a cheerleader of sorts at a radio station's promotional event."It was actually an event held by one of my friends who's a DJ," said the Miss USA winner on "Regis and Kelly" Wednesday (May 19). "It's a promotional event they do every year called Stripper 101, and they bring together all these women who are the 95th caller and they teach them how to dance and feel sexy."
Apparently her DJ friend at Detroit-based "Mojo in the Morning" invited her to the morning event, and she took it upon herself to warm up the crowd. "It was 8 o'clock in the morning, and that's how Rima made everyone feel comfortable in getting on stage."
There's a little more to the story than that -- while she might have made the other women "feel comfortable," she also won the Stripper 101 contest in the process. No clothes came off, but according to TMZ, her prizes included "jewelry, gift cards, adult toys and a stripper pole for home use."
Fakih also implied during her "Regis and Kelly" interview that the event was not for men ... or cameras. "There wasn't supposed to be any pictures taken."
But in good humor, Fakih summed up the situation as follows: "In Vegas, they say someone's always watching, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. In my case it ends up on YouTube."

In summer tank top/shorts, Lebanese-American Rima Fakih wins a radio Channel 99.5 Detroit-sponsored promotional pole-dancing contest one morning in 2007. Swimsuit bikini-clad, she wins the Miss U.S.A. title another day in 2010. Diamond tiara-crowned, she wakes up the next morn publicly stoned by false accusations of being a pole-dancing strip teaser somewhere in her past. In the land of the free where the nation of immigrants are rooted to "In God, We Trust" and society idolizes showy "sexiness," the “scandalized uproar" sadly smacks of hypocrisy, jealousy, misguided sensationalism, desperate marketing, and cheap advertising! O, America -- what is wrong with you? Here's a few good things for you to know about the beauty-with-brains winner: 1) She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics minor in Business Administration at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. [The Detroit Blog] 2) She was a volunteer social worker during her college years. [My Fox New York] 3) Rima is the ambassador of The Pink Fund, an organization that provides financial aid to women and men afflicted with ****** cancer. [The Pink Fund] 4) She has also worked to raise awareness of ****** and ovarian cancer for women’s self-defense. [The Detroit Blog]
