Michelle Williams, Ryan Gosling's love scenes in Cannes

"Dawson's Creek" plus "The Notebook" equals a love story.

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams looked totally and blissfully in love at the Cannes premiere of their new film, "Blue Valentine," a film in which they reportedly share some steamy love scenes.

She was actually skedded to shoot this film very soon after Heath Ledger's overdose death in 2008 but the filmmakers actually waited for her to feel up to it.

Looks like the timing worked out perfectly. It's so wonderful to see these two together. Both are such talented actors and genuinely nice people.

And Michelle has never looked prettier with her adorable side-parted platinum blond Twiggy do.

We hear she's in the running to play Marilyn Monroe in a new film about Monroe's days in England shooting "The Prince and the Showgirl.". Meanwhile, Ryan's working on an untitled comedy with Steve Carell.
