Lawrence Taylor's lawyer on his rape arrest: 'He's denying the whole thing'

lawrence-taylor-miami-dade-county-corrections.jpgIt looks like NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor is pulling a Ben Roethlisberger and saying it never happened ... and probably hoping his outcome is the same.

"He's denying the whole thing," Taylor's lawyer, Arthur L. Aidala said, according to the New York Times. "We're going to fight these charges as hard as he fought when he was a linebacker for the New York Giants."

The Season 8 "Dancing With the Stars" contestant was arrested Thursday morning at a New York hotel on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl and paying her $300. That's what Ramapo Police Chief Peter Brower said Thursday morning when announcing the charges against Taylor, 51.

Police also stated during the news conference that Taylor could face up to five years in jail if convicted.

Taylor was released after posting a $75,000 bond -- a significant jump from the $500 bond he paid just last November when charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage in Miami (photo from his 2009 arrest pictured above).
