Lady Gaga's Met Gala stage fright? Or was she just f-bomb-ing with Anna Wintour
Vogue editor Anna Wintour personally invited Lady Gaga to perform at the 2010 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum. So why did Gaga refuse to walk the red carpet (it couldn't have been because she had nothing to wear) and why did she refuse to come out of her room during the dinner? According to the New York Post, friends tried to coax her out. So did Warner Music execs. Finally Oprah Winfrey persuaded her to come out.
"I'll never forget when Anna Wintour called me to play this event," Gaga told the audience when she finally got onstage. The room included Anne Hathaway, a flashing Katy Perry, January Jones, Blake Lively, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson and her new breasts, Kristen Stewart, Emma Watston and, whew, more.
"She called me and said, 'I would like you to play at the Met gala, but I just want to make sure, because I've seen you perform before, that you won't be swearing during the performance,' " Gaga explained. "So Anna, I will do my [bleep]-ing best!"
And that's why we all love her.

I think it is funny when celebs come up with excuses for their behavior. As for Lady Gaga, I think she has problems with alcohol or drugs. She has passed out several times in concert in which she has claimed it to be "exhaustion or that it was hot." Along with her eccentric behavior she may have mental issues that she is hiding from the public. I highly doubt it had to do with anyone else. It was more than likely an issue she has with herself that has nothing to do with stage fright.
lady gaga does not have problems with alcohol or drugs. she is a VERY hard worker, when she is not performing, thinking about what her performance is going to be like, she is writing or recording. she's been touring for the past 2 years, getting at the most, 5 hours of sleep a night, WHO wouldn't be exhausted? as for her eccentric behavior, i just think that is who she is, and she's trying to show her fans to be whatever the f*ck they wanna be. to dress however they want and be who they want. she didn't walk the red carpet cuz she was getting erady for her performance .
If this is true, I honestly think it's because of who her audience was. She has said before that she doesn't have many celebrity friends and she doesn't feel like she fits in with them. I think she was just nervous to perform in front a room of only A-listers and no true fans. Then again, this isn't the first time she's performed in front of these people so who knows.
The quote "we all love her" is a major overstatement. Plenty of people I know hate her.
I watched an interview of her one time and she had to be on something. She looked absolutely horrible and acted like she had no idea what she was saying. I think she is on something or like the other poster said, she might be psycho!
She was getting ready for the show thats why no red carpet and coming out of her dressing room
no drugs just tired to many shows
Lady Gaga is a shining star on the world stage with up to hundreds of millions of fans. There's a reason why she is insanely popular worldwide. That reason is she is a superb artist with a terrific creative and musical genius. Expect the repulsive critics and haters to scream with envy and come out of their holes because it's all they can do when they know they are such failures at life, but what a pity for them, there's nothing they can do about the popularity of Lady Gaga except increase her fame.
"And that's why we all love her" Are you kidding!!?? Go read comments on eonline and perez website and you'll see that a LOT of people don't have much respect for her and her attitude.
Love her or hate her, she is the most influential voice in pop music today. I laughed when I read the Perez comment. Of course, if Perez says its true, it must be! NOT!
