'Killers' star Katherine Heigl chokes up on 'Tonight Show'

Katherine Heigl had a funny way of promoting her new action-packed romantic comedy, "Killers," on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" on Thursday (May 27).

After discussing her life changes -- marriage and a new baby, she reflected on how motherhood has changed her emotionally. For one thing, she now cries when she sees movies or TV shows where a child is in danger.
And that's because having a daughter has made her realize how it's now her job to protect the infant and always keep her safe.

This overwhelming maternal instinct makes her think about how the death of her brother in a car accident 20 years ago must have affected her own mother.
