Julia Luis Louis-Dreyfus gets a Walk of Fame star
Julia Louis-Dreyfus received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week -- but someone forgot to hit spell-check before it was placed into the sidewalk. The "Seinfeld" and "New Adventures of Old Christine" star was scheduled to receive her star on Tuesday morning (May 4). A producer in CNN's Los Angeles office noticed workers laying the star into the Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk. He also noticed that Dreyfus' name was spelled "Julia Luis Dreyfus" -- no "o" and no hyphen (a photo of the botched star is at CNN.com's Marquee blog).
He told the workers about it, then called the PR person for the Walk of Fame. After she "nearly puked in [her] car," she rushed to get it fixed, and by the time of the ceremony, the "Luis" had been chiseled out and replaced by "Louis-."
Louis-Dreyfus thought the goof was hilarious, and took the whole thing in stride. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which administers the Walk of Fame, gave her the "Luis" as a souvenir. The chamber will also redo the star so that the rather obvious cut-and-paste job it did for the ceremony isn't permanent.Hey, it could've been worse. At least the chamber didn't put "Nip" on the star.

Glad to hear Julia took it in stride and humor (at least in public) and didn't throw a big fit like you might expect from many celebrities.
