Joanna Garcia, Nick Swisher engaged

Nick Swisher, a New York Yankee, is going from rounding the diamond to giving one away -- he has proposed to girlfriend Joanna Garcia ("Privileged," "Gossip Girl"), according to People.

Swisher made the relationship public back in September 2009, when he told Sports Illustrated, "She is my lady. Joanna is my lady."

Garcia will be back on the small screen in fall 2010 when comedy "Better Together" premieres on ABC. She was previously engaged to Trace Ayala, Justin Timberlake's business partner.

Swisher isn't a stranger to the small screen either -- he appeared on an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" back in February 2010.
