Jeremy Renner and Jessica Simpson: Secretly dating?

Has Jessica Simpson broken into "The Hurt Locker"?

Earlier this year, there was some scuttlebutt that Simpson and the movie's Oscar-nominated star, Jeremy Renner, had started seeing one another after meeting at an awards-season party celebrating "The Hurt Locker." Renner denied it at the time.

Now Us Weekly is reporting that Renner and Simpson, who attended the White House Correspondents Association dinner in Washington over the weekend, were seen entering D.C.'s St. Regis Hotel early Sunday (May 3) -- not together, mind you, but about 30 seconds apart, apparently so as not to spark talk that they were a couple.

If that's the case, then mission very much unaccomplished.

Renner is keeping quiet about the situation, and all Simpson would tell Us recently about her dating life is, "I have some situations I am feeling out."

That's what she said.
