Oh, Justin Bieber. So young to have someone breathing down your neck. Especially when he has the same bangsEllen DeGeneres will be announcing on her talk show Wednesday (May 26) -- Hey, that's the same night as the "American Idol" finale -- that she's starting a new record label, eleveneleven, and ... wait for it ... the first artist she's signed is none other than 12-year-old Greyson Michael Chance.
Even better, Greyson will be managed by Guy Oseary and Troy Carter, whose more famous clients (for now) include Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Not that we need to explain, but after a performance of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" that Greyson did for a church talent show in Edmond, Oklahoma hit YouTube it went viral. When it was at 10,000 views, Ellen saw it and booked him on her show. He performed an original song, "Broken Hearts," collected a $10,000 check and was gifted with a new piano.
That was two weeks ago.
Now, Greyson's performance has been viewed 30 million times, he has big name managers and a record deal.
"It's crazy thinking about 30 million people," Chance says. "It just makes me happy. It really just hasn't sunken in yet. It has been two weeks and it still hasn't sunken in yet. It's awesome."

How sure are you about this?? It's already been reported that Lady Gaga spoke to her (Gaga's) label and got Greyson signed to it.
So which is it? Is Greyson on the same label as Lady Gaga or is this Ellen story true?
Both stories however report that his manager is Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager.
I think this is the stupidest idea ever! The kid did ONE song. He covered ONE song and he gets a record label. What the hell?! Ellen should sign somebody to her label who has written their own stuff, and performed places and who has actually tried to make a living out of their music.
I think Ellen is whacked to create a whole new record label just because of this one kid. So dumb.
Rachel, if you read the whole article it says that he came on her show and performed and original song called "Broken Hearts" so that tells me that he has some of his own stuff! Maybe you should start reading the whole thing before you make negative comments! Just saying!!!
So, was this all just a set-up? Carefully planned and timed to coincide with Ellen's a-ha moment - "I really need to start a record label so that all those swell kids out there can shine!"
@Alisha, Ellen knew she was going to sign him to her record label before he sang Broken Hearts on her show. If you watch any of the clips on her website, it's very obvious.
Greyson has 3 videos on youtube.. The Gaga cover, and 2 of his own. Yes, he does compose his own songs, but do thousands of other people who she has also had on her show. I just think someone who is more deserving, someone struggling to make ends meet with their music, should get signed before Greyson.

I saw both episodes of Ellen and the youtube videos and I think he has major talent and Ellen is many things but Dumb isn't one of them! She saw a chance to grab someone that hadn't made it yet that she knew was going to... Simon Cowel started his own lable and has been signing people from britians got talent and idol for a LONG time she is just taking a page out of his book

If Ellen really wants to make a difference in peoples lives she would watch Abby Miller a 12 year old girl singing to raise money for her young friend 5 year old Taylor Love who has cancer. Abby's u-tube videos have been viewed over 2.5 million times!! She sings "If I Can Hold Your Hand" that song can be downloaded from www.artzuno.com and all the money goes to cancer research and Band Of Parents.org....Check it out!!!
Hey, I have heard Abby sing... she is awesome. Idol will only slow her down.
