'Glee' star Lea Michele is no diva, says Ryan Murphy
Backlash has begun! The blogosphere is buzzing about 'Glee' star Lea Michele being totally typecast, that is, she really IS a major diva on set and off.
Lea began her career on Broadway in "Les Miserables" as a young girl before her breakout stage moment in "Spring Awakening" at age 20.
But The Dish Rag hears she's been a real piece of work for years. And it certainly hasn't improved with her new-found "Glee" fame. She's reportedly as high maintenance in real life as her character Rachel Berry is on the show.
However, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy defends his
"[The rumors are] not accurate and not true at all," Murphy tells People. "Lea is the sweetest, most professional girl. She's incredibly kind and she's always on time and she's always with her cast hanging out. They're all close."
He's already warned her about the backlash told her to just ignore the gossip. .
"I told Lea this would happen to her in July of last year. Just wait, people will start to write untruths," says Murphy. "I told her, 'Keep your chin up and it just happens. It's happened to me and it's happened to everyone. So don't pay attention to it.' But it's definitely not true. Lea is great."
OK. We believe you, Ryan Murphy. For now. (As we cross our fingers behind our backs).

People with a lot of intelligence and/or talent are often perceived as arrogant or aloof because it's what those less gifted want to be true, in an unconscious (and un-evolved) effort to preserve their own [fragile] egos. The best Lea can do is continue to be genuine and true to herself. Kudos to Ryan for his support.
Really don't feed into this and and really that picture you know there are hundreds of better pics of her. That is just a dirty trick.
This has all be exaggerated and I think the blog-sphere knows it.
There just isn't a pretty young actress out there who is a train wreck so some have latched on to Lea. Lea is different than those other young girls. She is driven and a triple threat.
Her drive is part of the problem as a woman she gets labels as a male it is a good trait.
The two stories floating around are laughable.
1. Unnamed source at the last day of shooting. While many other accounts saw nothing divaish by Lea, this one source was enough to drag her through the mud.
2. The photographer at the Times 100 event tweeted he knew she was joking, she apologized. He had photographer had photographed before it was a misunderstanding.
I know you all have a job, but just repeating the same story over and over again does not make it true.
Lea isn't the next train wreck move on to someone else.
