Chaz Bono before and after: He's now legally a man

Chaz Bono is now a man in the eyes of the law. The former Chastity Bono -- the child of Cher and Sonny Bono -- had his petition for a gender and name change granted Thursday (May 6) at the courthouse in Santa Monica, Calif. Bono underwent sex-change surgery last year.
"Chaz couldn't be happier," Kristina Wertz of the Transgender Law Center, which represented Bono in the process, tells People. "This is an important step in his transition and will allow him to change a variety of his identity documents to show who he truly is."
Bono, 41, told People last year that the transition has finally let him live the way he's always felt. "It's hard for me to articulate how this feels -- when you've lived your whole life in a body and having everybody relate to you as something you don't feel," he said at the time. "When that finally gets righted, it's just amazing."

No matter what anyone here says or thinks, Chaz is now a man by law. He will now get all documents reflecting this change. Anyone who is legally a male, is a male, no matter how they came by it. Period.
God made her a woman and she will still be a woman if she's lucky enough to get into heaven.....someday people will relize that this is the spirit of confusion on these individuals....
In my opinion she was beautiful as a girl, and she looks very handsome as a man.

The thing I don't get is why she looks so bad. She could make herself an attractive man. Why the huge weight gain? Is that something that goes with the operation?

I'm happy for you Chaz. I'm sure it was an extrodinarily hard decission to make, being who you are and who your parents are. Knowing some people were going to mouth-off on something they know nothing about or even really care to understand. I couldn't imagine what you've gone through for so long....You're a remarkable person to be able to make this decission and follow through to become the person you've always known you were! I know your parents are proud of you! I hope you are finally happy, or at least on your way! God bless!
