Billy Ray on Miley Cyrus' lap dance: 'It's what people her age do.' Really?
A Zap2it reader claiming to be Billy Ray Cyrus posted a comment Wednesday (May 12) on our Miley Cyrus lap dance story, saying, "Don't listen to them baby, your mom and I are proud of the way you can lap dance...."Now we discover Billy Ray could care less about his then 16-year-old daughter giving 44-year-old "So You Think You Can Dance's" Adam Shankman a lap dance at "The Last Song" wrap party -- and we're starting to wonder if it was the real Billy Ray. (Ok, not really. But it makes one wonder....)
Papa Cyrus told TMZ Thursday that Miley's antics at the wrap party are not uncommon for a young girl. "It's what people her age do," he says. Hmm.
Do you think daddy should be more concerned that his teenage daughter has a penchant for pole dancing AND lap dancing?

Pole dancing NO. She never pole danced. Lap dancing YES, althought weather or not it was actually lap dancing could be questionable. They kind of danceing she was doing is common amoung girls her age, just not with a 44 year old man who should have gently push Miley away and said NO regardless if he was gay or not. Her agent appeared to be at the party and didn't seem to uphold her responsibilities either nor did any other adult who should have said something to one or both of them. But after Billy Rays comment, I no longer feel that holding Miley responsible for her recent behaviour can be justified. It obivious that her parent have taught her that it OK, so somehow I have a feeling she doesn't know any better.
she was dancing with a guy she knows having a good time. the media is the ones who take it out of content. leave this girl alone and worry about you own damn kids

But to answer the question of the article... no, I don't have a problem with it. She's free to do what she likes. And if the choice isn't harming herself then no biggie.
At least Miley's choices are better so far than say Lindsay Lohan.

Hey what do you expect from a man who does an inappropriate photo shoot with his daughter and has it published? Oh that's right, I forgot, they are *artists*. His judgement is beyond poor when it comes to his kid. The message? Anything is ok when you're playing the fame game and there's no such thing as bad publicity - the only bad thing is no publicity at all.

Not sure if Billy Ray can do any thing about Miley or her Mother. think he is out numbered. What worries me is that Mily's manager who is her Mom appears to be clueless about juvenile sex crimes. If someone don't teach this family what is law an inappropriate, then what's going to happen with our next generation, when all the Miley's and Cristina A's kids all become our societies parents. I'm all for the arts and music and all, but, this is a private party and not art or appropriate.All the adults have gone too far to let this slide and not talk to Miley and explain the difference.
