Whitney Houston says 'au revoir' to Paris show

The European leg of Whitney Houston's tour will go on -- just a little later than planned.

Houston had to postpone a planned Tuesday (April 6) show in Paris because of an illness. She'll circle back to the City of Light later in the tour, but as things stand now she'll kick off the Europe tour in Manchester, England, on Thursday (April 8).

The show's promoters say Houston has a respiratory infection, and "after a consultation with her doctors has been advised to postpone her performance," Reuters reports. "Whitney and her band apologize that the show has to be rescheduled on such short notice."

It's another speed bump on Houston's current tour, which got some ugly reviews in Australia -- critics said she didn't sound like the Whitney they knew, and there were even reports of fans walking out. Ouch.

Some Aussie critics also noted that Houston looked like she was in ill health, which her publicist denied at the time.

No word yet on when the Paris concert will happen.
