'Twilight's' Kristen Stewart: A Happy Birthday tribute in pictures

Happy 20th birthday to Kristen Stewart!

The "Twilight" star was born and raised in Los Angeles and was destined for a Hollywood career since her dad is a TV producer and stage manager while her mom is a script supervisor from Australia.

Although she's known as Bella Swan in the "Twilight" films, she's had a long career before hitting superstardom and continues to prove she's no one-trick pony. No wonder she received BAFTA's Orange Rising Star award.

Here's a look back at K-Stew's movie roles through the years. Get ready to say, "Aw." She was an adorable kid.

In 2002, she played Jodie Foster's diabetic daughter in "Panic Room." Fun trivia: She replaced Hayden Panettiere, who was supposed to play the daughter.

Next came 2003's "Cold Creek Manor," a thriller that also starred Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid.

A year later she played a traumatized teen in the cable film "Speak" ...

... and a kickass young bank thief in "Catch That Kid." Here she is using a low-tech tool to disable a high-tech security device.

In 2005 (whew, does this girl take a break?) Kristen starred as the older sister of two boys whose board game launches them into an intergalactic adventure in "Zathura."

She got to kiss Adam Brody in the 2007 film "In the Land of Women." Doesn't she look pretty blonde?

In "The Messengers," Kristen Stewart played Jess, a teenage girl who accidentally caused her younger brother injury in a drunk driving accident. Unfortunately, that's NOT the worst problem she has in this horror-thriller.

She got to sing in 2007's "Into the Wild," starring opposite Emile Hirsch.

And in 2008 she filmed "The Yellow Handkerchief" in Louisiana, although the film wasn't released till 2010.

And then she went totally '80s in "Adventureland" with Jesse Eisenberg.

"Welcome to the Rileys" showed a different side to K-Stew at Sundance.
