Tito Ortiz says Jenna Jameson is an addict, had a relapse

 

UFC fighter Tito Ortiz, who was arrested on domestic violence charges Monday, says he didn't lay a hand on girlfriend Jenna Jameson and blames the incident on Jameson slipping back into bad habits.

At a news conference late Monday (April 26), Ortiz said Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin and had a relapse earlier in the day. KTLA reports that a tearful Ortiz says he didn't hit his ex-porn star girlfriend and the mother of his two children.

"I speak from the heart," Ortiz said at the news conference, held at an Italian restaurant in North Hollywood. "... I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be OK."

Ortiz was charged with one count of felony domestic violence early Monday after Jameson's dad, Larry Massoli, called 911 and alerted officers to an argument at the couple's Huntington Beach home. Ortiz's lawyer, Chip Matthews, says that's not what happened. He claims that when Ortiz confronted her about the drugs, she had "some emotional breakdown over it."

"This morning, Jenna relapsed and suffered the consequences of that," Matthews says. "We're here because Tito was trying to help her."

Ortiz also says his parents had struggled with addiction and that he would "not let my family go through that."
