Sheryl Wolfe, Miss Hawaii Teen, dies after suffering a stroke
Sheryl Wolfe, a teenage beauty queen from Hawaii, died Tuesday a week after undergoing a massive stroke.
Wolfe, 18, collapsed at school on April 13 after having a brain hemorrhage and shortly after that suffered a stroke. She was the reigning Miss Hawaii Teen United States and was scheduled to compete in the Miss Hawaii Teen World pageant in May. She had also worked as a model, as seen in the video above, and appeared in several TV commercials. "My daughter, she'd light everybody," her father, Allen Wolfe, tells Honolulu's KHON-TV. "People [who] were down -- she'd have the right thing to say to them as far as knowing how to bring their spirits up."
Wolfe was pronounced brain dead on Monday (April 19) but kept alive so she could donate several organs. "She actually made that decision herself," her dad tells KHON. "She had it on her learner's permit the she wanted to be an organ donor. There's going to be four recipients today that will have new starts."
