'Real Housewives NY': Did Jill Zarin write her own Amazon book reviews? [UPDATED]
"Real Housewives of New York City's" Jill Zarin isn't amused by recent speculation that she has been writing positive online reviews and addressing negative ones under an assumed name regarding her new book, "Secrets of a Jewish Mother.""Some crazy fans are saying I wrote my own review," writes Zarin on Facebook.
She continues: "Some fans of the show need to find something else to do then write hateful things about me and my family. It is sad and I feel sorry for them."
After that, The Dish Rag decided to investigate the claims against Zarin.
It all started when an unsatisfied reader named A.Chandler wrote a review panning the book on Amazon.com. Then, Susan Saunders replied to the negative review writing:
Well, that made other members suspicious, so they began looking into Susan Saunders.

out Susan Saunders' Amazon.com account belongs to Jill Shapiro (see screenshot at left), which
other members on the site have pointed out is Zarin's name before
marrying her current husband, Bobby Zarin. Her daughter is listed as Allyson Paige Shapiro. And her only buddy on the site, David Zarin, is Bobby's brother.Hm, it seems like an awful lot of trouble for a "crazy fan" to go to just to make Jill look bad. What do you think?

I no longer put anything past "crazy" fans. I wouldn't be surprised if someone created a tribute page to only talk about how much they love Real Housewives, much the way fans of certain shows/people create separate Twitter accounts to talk about their fave shows/actors. However, that being said, I wouldn't put it past a small time celebrity to create multiple accounts in order to try to boost up their own ratings either. How is that any worse than celebrities who pay reviewers to write positive articles about them??
But I have an offer for Susan, whoever she is: if she gives my book a positive review on Amazon, I'll give Jill's one!!
It is absolutely true and Jill did not just write this comment she also emailed a harassing email to A. Chandler. This is the real Jill Zarin and To claim that anyone wrote anything other than the truth about her book is ridiculous. This book encourages people to poor soft drinks on their food in restaurants and settle for a man with money even if you don't love them. The book is so poorly written and lacks any type of coherent flow that it will surely end up in the dollar bin within the next month. In addition this book is based on common sense with absolutely nothing that shows insight at all, the author doesn't even take her own advice. Remember that email to Kelly? Imagine a reviewer getting a threatening email from Mrs. Saunders aka Jill Zarin. What a nasty, petty, jealous hag. All the viewers should know that this is the person that she really is, she wasn't smart enough to erase her information before she gave her own review and threats.
Excellent reporting! That Jill Zarin has lost her damn mind! I heard the numbers on her facebook page have gone down by more than 10,000 and that most of them have been deleted by JILL, herself!! Like RamonaCoaster's hubby said: Woe to those who criticize the great and mighty Oz... I mean, "Woe to those who criticize Jill."
EXCUSE ME, Danielle Turchiano... writing your own positive review is ONE thing... actually threatening a reviewer, threatening her pet, and calling her antisemitic is another thing. That's not cool on any level and I hope Mz Zarin gets charged! Electronic games have trails! I hope it's proven, she's charged, and poor Miss Chandler (Rated as Amazon.com's Top Reviewer) is vindicated.

When she changed her name on her profile, she didn't realize that her maiden name still showed on her Wish List in which she references her daughter, husband and brothers names. More telling is after she realized she kept her real birthdate on the Amazon profile, she changed her birthdate on Facebook.
