Masters pairings 2010: Tiger Woods in prime spot for TV coverage

tiger-woods-elin-sam-getty.jpgThe 2010 Masters pairings have been announced and wouldn't you know it -- Tiger Woods will be playing his back nine holes during the live ESPN broadcast. Who would've thought?

ESPN begins broadcasting the Masters' Thursday, April 8 at 4 p.m. ET and Woods, having been placed in the second-to-last group, will tee off just before 2 p.m. ET. Since four hours is around average for a complete 18 holes at August, Woods will be entering the back nine holes right around the time the national ESPN coverage starts.

Woods' group mates are Matt Kuchar of the United States and K.J. Choi of Korea. With Tiger getting a late tee time, which means more TV coverage and more chances to start rehabbing his image with pretty golf, we're a bit surprised he isn't paired with his mortal golf enemy Phil Mickelson just to ratchet the tension to 11.

The hoopla began Monday, April 5 with Tiger Woods' press conference live from August, GA, wherein he pretty much reiterated that he's really sorry about everything. We can only imagine the fervor that will build if he starts playing well on national TV.

ESPN will be broadcasting the Masters live Thursday and Friday (April 8 and 9) from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. Coverage then switches to CBS for the Saturday and Sunday rounds (April 10 and 11).

I know I won't be watching and figuring he'll miss the cut before the weekend.

I would suggest that Jack doesn't bet his house on Tiger missing the cut. By the way Jack, if you miss the cut it is always before the weekend duh. He did some rotten bad things but for the most part only affected his family and himself.

tigers gonna crush, ez
