Kathy Griffin wants a Twitter war, got 'served by Speidi'

Kathy Griffin has a new scheme for leaving the D-list.

"I am looking to have a Twitter war because that's something that could help me get ont he A-list," she told press on Monday (April 26). "I saw Demi Moore was having a Twitter war with Kim Kardashian, so I am on  a mission to find a high-profile celebrity to have a Twitter war with. I put it out there. I do my own twats on Twitter, so please follow me. My twats have a lot to say."

Her Twitter war wishlist started out pretty ambitious, but quickly devolves into D-list celebs.

"Oprah would be my dream, but if not Oprah, maybe Dr. Phil or maybe someone from 'Jersey Shore,'" she mused. "Maybe myself and The Situation could have a Twitter war -- not that he can read, but somebody could translate it into Jersey.

"Or maybe Michael Lohan could be good because he gets as much press as Lindsey at this point. You know and I'll take on Ali. I'm not afraid. I don't care if she's a minor. I'm going to have a Twitter war with Ali Lohan. How about that? I'm going to tell her to start that coke younger. 'You should have started at 12. You're a little behind the times, Ali.'"

Of course, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, frequent targets of Griffin's wit, would be the perfect Twitter battlers. The comedian recalled one instance when Speidi got the better of her.

"I will tell you I was at this fancy party last week in Malibu and all the stars were there," she said. "And then f***ing Speidi walked in. That's how I know I'm on the D-list when I'm at a party with Speidi, that's not good.

"I was trying to avoid them because I think they're fun to watch, I don't know what I'd talk to them about. And then Spencer came over to me and said, 'I just wanted to meet you, one fame whore to another.' So yeah, I got served by Speidi."
