'Grey's Anatomy's' Ellen Pompeo opens her home to Elle Decor
"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo and Martyn Lawrence-Bullard first met in Paris.
They were both guests at the Christian Dior haute couture fashion show.
Pompeo and her music producer husband Chris Ivery turned the talk to home decor after finding out Martyn was an interior decorator, because Ellen had just bought a Spanish style Hollywood Hills home.
The result of their decorative collaboration can be seen in the May isssue of Elle Decor, a 1920's era home spiced with exotic Mediterranean touches, perfect for casual entertaining and family living.
"Ellen's basically a very easy, relaxed person who likes her home to be easy and relaxed as well," Lawrence-Bullard says. "There's none of that star-diva craziness."
"This house is perfect for our family," adds Pompeo. The couple's daughter, Stella Luna, loves doing all things like "swimming, eating, and hanging out with friends" at home with her parents
Pompeo explains: "Martyn jokes that we live like college kids -- people are coming and going all the time. What can I say? It's a happy place."
