'Gossip Girl' break-up: Ed Westwick drops Jessica Szohr (Twitter breathes sigh of relief)

Spotted: J cozying up to M in La La Land. But the Hollywood hills have eyes... and so does E. Looks like somebody's London Bridge is falling down.

For those of you who aren't quite as "Gossip Girl" savvy as we are, here's a translation: Ed Westwick, who has been home in London for the last few weeks, has called it quits with co-star Jessica Szohr after hearing rumors that she's been seen flirting with one of his best friends, socialite Marco Minuto.

Last week, Szohr celebrated her 25th birthday with friends and, according to the New York Post, went back to the same hotel as Minuto. The source says, "He immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back. She's been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt. He can't believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends."

Westwick's rep declined to comment, but Szohr's rep says there's no merit to the story. "She's been celebrating her birthday with Ed in London."
