Ex-'Survivor' producer Bruce Beresford-Redman out of jail, can't leave Mexico
Bruce Beresford-Redman, a former producer for the CBS show "Survivor," was detained earlier in the week in connection with his wife Monica's death. The couple was vacationing in Cancun, Mexico when she disappeared on Monday, April 5. Her body was discovered Thursday, April 8 in a sewer at their resort.According to KTLA, Beresford-Redman has been released from jail but he is barred from leaving Mexico while the authorities conduct their investigation into Monica's death. He was handed over to the U.S. Consulate and taken to an undisclosed hotel.
Monica's body was found with scratches on the neck, signs of asphyxiation and evidence of a blow to the right temple. Investigators think she was suffocated before being dumped in the sewer where her body was discovered. Several hotel guests have told authorities they heard the couple arguing Monday night.
Bruce's parents have released a statement, saying, "My wife and I are grief-stricken at the loss of our beloved daughter-in-law. We know our son loved Monica and would never have harmed her. He has our full support as we try to do what's best for him and our grandchildren so they can be reunited soon." The grandparents have been granted temporary custody of the two Beresford-Redman children, ages 5 and 3. Monica's sister Carla also petitioned for custody.

Mexico is no Disney Land
When will people learn ... when will our government finally secure our border.
The parts of Mexico that are still safe to visit have dwindled to high priced resorts and a few private residences of multimillionaires...
Good Mexicans need to return to their country and rebuild it into the place it should be instead of running away to America...
Every Good person that gives up means Mexico gets that much worse...
If the 15 million people that left mexico returned and fought for a better mexico it would again be a place to enjoy.
Until that time Mexico will continue to be one of the most dangerous nations in the world.
They kill american police and no one says a thing...
They kidnap our children and no one does anything...
They bring tons of Heroin, Cocaine, Meth into our schools and streets and instead of stopping it ... we try to reduce our drug laws to nothing more then a parking ticket...
This guys wife gets killed..
She is not the first
She will not be the last...
WHAT IS OUR PRESIDENT DOING TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY?
nothing...
these criminals in organized drug gangs and mafias are inside the USA...
Our President will not even catch the ones inside the USA!
There was a time 30 years ago ... If an american was killed in any other country it would mean something....
TODAY THEY KILL US ON OUR STREETS!
and it means nothing.
I feel sorry for this man... and his family..
DO NOT GO TO MEXICO!
HockeyGuy, I agree with some of what you're saying, but seriously, shut up. Your posts are way too long.
Mexico is a dangerous place. The government cleans up murders of tourists and blames it on their fellow travellers. They DO NOT perform real investigations, lest it should reveal the seedy nature of that country. If people knew the REAL Mexico, they sure as hell wouldn't visit it. It's a death trap for tourists.
Update one of our Embassy's in Mexico was just assaulted with a bomb.
WHEN WILL OUR GOVERNMENT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY???
PEOPLE ARE DIEING, BEING ASSAULTED AND KIDNAPPED EVERY DAY!
Hockey Guy....Regardless of all you have said, in this particular case, the murderer was one of you gringos....sorry my unstable, bipolar friend
Wow! You seriously think this is a Mexico issue??? This guy KILLED his wife...all the signs are there
Yeah, sounds like they are trying to spin it all on Mexico. If he had no scratches, no screams of help, no thrown furniture, had footage of her leaving the hotel, then he is not #1 suspect. Bu this dude shows the gloves fits in all ways more than OJ
