'Desperate Housewives': Brenda Strong says Nicollette Sheridan's allegations 'don't add up'
In fact, she seems to feel it's more like a dramedy.
"It was funny," Strong tells Zap2it's Korbi TV. "My assistant said, 'have they seen Marc Cherry? Are they crazy?' She goes, 'he's really like a puppy dog! [laughs] It's such a big leap!' Anyway, it's pretty funny."
Strong has great things to say about Cherry's dedication to the show and credits its success over its six seasons to his hands-on approach. So, when Korbi TV asked her about Sheridan's lawsuit, she wasn't shy about her doubts regarding her former costar's claims.
"I just don't believe that for a second," says Strong. "It doesn't make sense. Two and two don't add up."
Strong's comments seem to align with costar Eva Longoria Parker's statements that the set isn't hostile and Cherry "could not harm a fly, he's just so sweet."
But, Strong's statements contrast with not only Sheridan's allegations, but recent comments from former show staffers claiming Cherry has been known to discriminate against female employees and that he creates a hostile work environment on-set.

Unless you were actually THERE, I don't think anyone should be saying anything.
The nicest people can lose their tempers. I also don't find it at all surprising that the people speaking out, STILL work for Mark, so it's not a credible source. I don't expect anyone who still works for him to say, "Yeah, he's a real a hole. I wouldn't be shocked if he dragged her into the utility room and punched her lights out."
On the other hand, I am suspect as to why this is coming out so late. The alleged incident happened some time ago didn't it?
He does'nt have a history of slapping women around, (that we know of) we'll see if this even gets into a court room.
Mikey, Mary Alice can't go away. IMO, she is more important than a lot of the main cast members, because they're characters are still alive and can be killed off just as Nicolette's character was. What excuse would they give for Mary Alice no longer narrating the show?? They can't kill her off ... they've already done sso.
Well of course she is going to kiss his gay ***! All she has is a speaking role that can easily go away!
Very classy Mikey ... stupid homophobic dumbfuk
I don't know what happened, but Eva and Brenda have a strong motivation to take Mr. Cherry's side since they both still work for him. So I don't trust what they have to say anymore than I would trust anyone who would benefit from Nicolette winning.
CHERRY DOESNT LIKE WOMEN-------------HE'S GAY.DUH.
This seems to be is all about an old, used up user desperate to gain attention and money.Sad and Stupid!!
I'm more inclined to believe what she says over some faceless, anonymous "insider source" or an unprofessional publicist who used another actress' statement without their permission.
Teri, Felicity, Marcia, Eva, and Brenda are scared to tell the truth because they don't want to be fired. I believe Nicollette! Why would she risk her career to make a false allegation? It would be career suicide, even if she ends up getting some financial compensation.
