'Death at a Funeral' star Danny Glover arrested
"Death at at Funeral" weekend was more like "Arrest at a Protest" for star Danny Glover on Friday (April 16) in Maryland.Glover along with 11 other participants were arrested at the Sodexo food service headquarters during a labor union dispute, according to KTLA.
Capt. Paul Starks, spokesperson for Maryland's Montogomery police department, says Glover stepped beyond yellow police tape along with several others after being warned to step back three times. The protesters, including Glover, refused and police officers arrested them.
Citations were issued for trespassing to the dozen or so who were handcuffed on the scene. Starks confirms that the arrested individuals all face either 90 days in the slammer or a $1,000 fine.
The protest, organized by The Service Employees International Union, was waged against Sodexo over allegations of unfair and illegal treatment. Though organizers were aware beforehand that they may risk arrest as a result of the protest, Starks says they were willing to take the chance.
TMZ reports that Glover told cameras after his release: "We're moving to make some real positive changes."
A publicist for Glover, most notably known for starring in the "Lethal Weapon" franchise along side Mel Gibson, declined to comment on the incident.

Although I can appreciate Glover's efforts on behalf of those less fortunate, I think he would be better served by spending his free time taking some acting classes.And he should take Keanu Reeves and David Arquette along as well.
