'Dancing With the Stars' triggers Kate Gosselin's tanorexia
After just a few weeks on "Dancing with the Stars," Kate Gosselin returned home to Pennslyvania to see her kids. But the first day she was back, she reportedly dumped the brood with Jon Gosselin and rushed to the local tanning parlor.Did the DWTS constant tanning sessions cause Kate to turn into a full-blown tanorexic? Has she become another over-tanned victim of the dreaded orange Oompa Loompa syndrome that's sweeping Hollywood?
We've read reports that the show has a spray tan apparatus backstage and makeup people regularly blitz the contestants several times a week.
But the stars also hit tanning beds on their own, according to DWTS head tanner Melanie Mills.
She told E!s Marc Malkin that the stars get addicted quickly even though the airbrushed tan is done nude and in a harsh fluorescent lit room. She still has former contestants calling her for a tan fix, months after being on the show.
Will the Gosselin kids be getting spray tans too now that their showbiz career is back on?
TMZ reports that paperwork was filed with the Pennsylvania Dept. of Labor and Industry for Kate's brood to appear on TLC specials.
"The proper steps have been taken and the kids are permitted for Kate Plus 8," the rep said
We could just cry at the thought of eight innocent little orange faces. What hath Hollywood wrought?

And this is news because? Several seasons back the stars talked about the DWTS tanning. Kate said there would be specials coming with the kids.
Not so fast. Rep. Tom Murt may put a stop to that.
Kate took her kids out of school for over a week to try to pretend that she was a good mother.
The kids should be taken away from Kate. SHE IS NOT A STAR. Her kids should not be raised by nannies.
Tom Murt isn't going to stop anything. They already have the papers they need to start filming Kate + 8. Kate is a fabulous mother and the people that criticize her do not sound like mentally stable individuals. Dessertgirl are you this judgmental and mean to your family and friends? I feel sorry for them.

KATE is doing a great job and working 2 jobs actually, as she has 8 children and she has to make a living too. Whats wrong with Kate making a living for her kids? wHY

Personally, I like Kate before the hair extensions and tanning. Her 'before' pic looks like a spunky,vibrant woman, full of life. The 'after' pic makes her look afraid to smile, her eyes look lazy with an "I don't care" attitude, and the hair....just not a look that fits her. I am not against her or with her, who am I to judge how she lives her life.
I'd like to see her back to "Kate"..i think she is losing who she is.

Kate looked better with her natural porcelain skin color. Just look at the photos. What's sad is how beautiful fair skin actually is, and hardly any one appreciates it. Forget the tanning Kate, and focus on those wonderful kids!

I cannot understand all the hype behind this Kate Gosselin. This was a regular homemaker who chose to have 8 childeren with her then husband Jon. What I find a shame is that women are praising her for something you and me and every mother are doing,but the difference is that Kate allowed greed to step in and now this has taken the time she should be spending with her kids to a minimum. Kate and Jon should have taken the monines they made from there show and started a savings and college fund for ther childeren as will as saved money and worked on making their marriage stronger,but they both got caught up in the celeberty world and way of things and although the childeren may be able to get alot of material things are they truly getting the love and self-esteem they need at this age. You can only get so much from nannies. So do I gave Kate credit for what she is doing no! Ths is not a form of jealousy but something I feel needs to be said. She is promoting a book of letters she has written for her childeren and selling it to the public. Who truly benifits from that. Think about it. I have a journal for both of my childeren that I will give to them at the right time. For now I want to cherish every moment with them while I'm sill here. I gave credit to every hard working mother out there who do have the spotlight on them but are truly giving and doing there all for ther childeren. Those who work 14hrs a day, those who volenteer at schools those who are working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet an without any selfish because this is what we do.
