'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' alum Nicholas Brendon charged with battery

On March 17, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan favorite Nicholas Brendon threw punches at police officers who were called to the scene after his disorderly behavior disturbed Venice, CA neighbors. After taking several swings, Brendon ran away. Bad decision. When the cops caught up to him, they tasered him and held him on $20,000 bail.TMZ reports that Brendon has officially been charged with one count resisting arrest, two counts of battery against a police officer and one count of vandalism. He'll be arraigned in court on April 7 and faces a $4,000 fine and 2 years in jail if he's convicted.
This isn't the first time booze has gotten Brendon into trouble. In 2004, Brendon entered rehab in Los Angeles to seek help for his alcoholism. At the time he released a statement saying, "After realizing I had a disease that was taking control of my life, I decided that the best way for me to regain my health was to enter a treatment facility. I'm looking forward to leading a healthy, sober life."

So going into rehad equals 'getting into trouble'? Or did he do something else?
Thanks for the comment Coen! I just meant that if his disease "took control of his life," that's trouble, but you're right, I probably could have worded that better.
Reading that back, the wording sounds harsh. I'm sorry, Carina, that wasn't my intention. I just wondered if he ever got into trouble before. :)

I agree with David Hall. Since when did it become acceptable to electrocute people in this country? All the police want to do nowadays is dish out pain and anguish. Does it seem to you that the police want to protect and serve? The police are just gangsters in uniform. Do you think Buffy would like this treatment of her friend?
