Brittany Favre could make Brett Favre first active NFL grandpa

Brett Favre has confirmed to ESPN's Ed Werder that his daughter Brittany (above, left) recently gave birth to his first grandson. Favre posted on his website: Deanna and I are very proud and excited to welcoem our new grandson Parker Brett to the Favre family. Parker Brett was born Friday, April 2, weighing 7 lbs, 7 oz and we're please dto say that both Mom, Dad and Parker Brett are healthy and doing great.

If Brett Favre chooses to return as quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings at the age of 40, that will make him the first active player-grandfather in the National Football League.
Favre tells Werder, "A grandpa at 40. It almost makes me feel old ... It makes [returning to the Vikings] more complicated but right now I'm not thinking much about football."

Favre has had an illustrious NFL career, with more wins as a starting QB than any one in NFL history (181), five-time NFC Player of the Year, two NFC championships and one Super Bowl ring.  He also loves Larry Platt's "Pants on the Ground," which makes us love Favre just a little bit more.

The story was first reported by Larry Fitzgerald Sr. of the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder (yes, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. is the father of the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver).
