Bret Michaels still in critical condition; warned fans he wasn't 100%

Bret Michaels remains hospitalized on Saturday (Apr. 24) under "intense observation" and for further testing after his brain hemorrhage Thursday night.

"There are several incorrect reports on Bret's condition," Michaels' rep tells People. "Bret remains in critical condition at an undisclosed location. Further tests are being ran and information will be updated in the coming days."

Turns out Michaels, 47, wasn't feeling top notch the day before he was rushed to the ICU. The singer and current "Celebrity Apprentice" star has been blogging for Fancast this season and mentioned he still wasn't back to his old self after having an emergency appendectomy on April 12.

"I'm feeling right about in the middle right now on a scale of 1 to 10," Michaels writes in his blog. "I'm not 100% yet, but I'm sure as hell not where I was when it happened. When your appendix ruptures if feels like what it would feel if you're on the losing end of a knife fight, so it takes a bit to recover from that."

He goes on to address fan interest in the fact that he's a diabetic and a drinker:

"...when I say 'party' and 'let's have fun,' I'm one of those guys that just likes to have a great time. I'm not a belligerent drunk. I don't need to drink. But, there's a big misconception about drinking and diabetes, and honestly, drinking an immense amount of alcohol for anybody is bad. Let's get clear about that. But, for a diabetic, it just doesn't work in your diet. It's got so much sugar content. Here's the misconception, as a diabetic, you can have a few drinks. That is the truth."

Donald Trump, who is currently presiding over Michaels on "Celebrity Apprentice" this season, issued a statement Friday saying his was "deeply saddened" to hear of the singer's condition.

"He's a great competitor and champion, and I hope he will be fine," Trump said.
