Bret Michaels condition caused by Tony awards head injury?
Poison front man Bret Michaels, who suffered a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage (bleeding from the base of the brain stem) last week, is still in critical care. He is reportedly stable and conscious, although he has blurred vision and slurred speech. He's told People that it felt like he'd been hit in the head by a "baseball bat."
The singer's sudden hemorrhage has some news outlets wondering if it's possibly related to the 2009 Tony Awards. Michaels was hit in the head by a dropping stage during the awards. He was hospitalized briefly and did not seek damages at the time.
The reality-TV star is currently featured on "The Celebrity Apprentice," and the show, which was filmed several months ago, made a brief reference to his illness on Sunday (Apr. 25). A post-script showed a video of Michaels walking in slow motion with a voice over: "Everyone here at NBC wishes Bret Michaels a speedy recovery."
So does everyone at The Dish Rag.

What the ****! No way this caused a brainhemmorage, try all those raging ****** on his reality tv show! that would make my brain bleed!
Absolutely this type injury could have caused this type of bleed
Ya, Donald Trump says it caused his brain bleed now? I didn't know that Trump was a doctor also! That seems rediculous. How about a history of Diabetes and probably other health problems such as hypertension? Either way it is sad he is in such bad shape.
You people are all ********, I lost my father on Saturday(04-24-2010) to the same thing a brain hemorrhage, you can be born with the aneurysm which can later hemmorrhage. Good luck Bret
This type of accident can certainly cause a serious brain injury. I suffered a traumatic brain injury 21 years ago, and since that time --after a long road to recovery and many neurorehabs-- I have done a great deal of research on TBIs and recovery. Even a slight bump on the head could lead to brain hemorrhaging if there is a blood/bleeding disorder which goes unchecked.
My prayers are with Bret and his family.
