Betty White likes her dogs 'Naked'

People are bestowing honors left and right on 88-year-old Betty White. Really, how many lifetime achievement awards does one woman need?

But Betty got an honor that was especially close to her heart on Monday (April 19), when the Los Angeles frankfurter institution Pink's Hot Dogs unveiled the new Betty White "Naked" Dog -- a plain hot dog on a bun -- at the grand opening of their new store at the Universal Citywalk.

Proceeds from the unadorned dog will go to L.A.'s East/West Valley Animal Shelters. Betty has been a longtime supporter of animal rights.


Other celebrities have had their own Pink's hot dogs include Martha Stewart (10' stretch dog with relish, onions, bacon, chopped tomatoes, sauerkraut and sour cream), Ozzy Osbourne (spicy Polish dog with nacho cheese, American cheese, grilled onions, guacamole and chopped tomatoes) and Rosie O'Donnell (10' stretch dog with mustard, onions, chili and sauerkraut).
