'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart so not together at 'Runaways' premiere

Taylor Lautner showed up to support his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart at "The Runaways" premiere -- and maybe help keep the focus on their new film, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"  -- Thursday (March 11) at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood.

Is it a coincidence that the "Eclipse" trailer hit the web this week, with "The Runaways" premiere tonight and the film opening on March 19? Probably not.

But Taylor arrived so late to the premiere that they totally missed each other on the red carpet.

He literally jumped out of a black limo, smiling for cameras, then raced off to sign autographs for fans long after Kristen had worked the press line, giving polite, sincere and thoughtful interviews to TV outlets about this role of a lifetime, playing real-life rocker Joan Jett in "The Runaways."

Anyone who doubts the veracity of Kristen's amazing and insightful performance in the film need only look on YouTube for the '70s-era Tom Snyder interviews with a young Joan to get a sense of the still innocent but determined musician she portrays in the film.

Dakota Fanning, who again plays a Volturi vampire in "Eclipse," was also on the "Runaways" red carpet.
