Sarah Palin's reality TV show may air on A&E or Discovery

sarah-palin-tea-party.jpgA&E and Discovery are reportedly now the front-runners in the fight to land Sarah Palin's Alaska-themed TV series.

No decision has been made yet. But Variety estimates the reality TV show will go for $1 million an episode. This is so gonna burn Levi Johnston.

At A&E, Palin would fit in with the network's travel strategy and they already have a show set in Hawaii, which stars Dog the Bounty Hunter. But A&E's sister History Channel, has "Ice Road Truckers," also set in Alaska. Then again, Discovery makes sense since "Deadliest Catch" is also shot in Alaska.

According to insiders, a decision could be made in the next day or two. Clearly, Sarah's  (un)popularity is why the cable networks are interested.

Palin has a loyal fan base. And there's also legions of "gotchas" who will watch to see if she slips up and writes stuff on her hand again.

The good news about all this? And there is some.

If Sarah doesn't run for president in 2012, it's rumored that producer Mark Burnett wants to turn Palin into a daytime talk show star.

If it means keeping her out the next presidential race, we'll watch her show faithfully.

How about you?
