Robert Pattinson on 'The Daily Show': He has 'fears of oversaturation'

Robert Pattinson wrapped up his whirlwind publicity tour for "Remember Me" in NYC Tuesday (Mar. 2). But just before heading to the JFK airport to leave the Big Apple, he swung by "The Daily Show" to chat it up with Jon Stewart.
"We've had a lot of people on this show....we've never seen anything like this," Stewart remarked to the "Twilight" megastar about the mass crowd of screaming girls who waited outside to catch a glimpse of R-Patz.
Pattinson seemed relaxed and rolled with the punches as Stewart repeatedly cracked jokes about the star's sex appeal. One of our favorites:
"Did you dabble in music because you were worried you weren't going to get laid enough?"
But the world's most famous vampire did express one of his serious concerns about the possible price of fame.
"The only worrying thing is that when you see your face everywhere all the time, you start to get fears of oversaturation, and that you won't be able to do anything else," says Pattinson. "If I decided not to be an actor and do something else, then everyone's like, no you're the guy from 'Twilight,' I can't really take you seriously."
Of course Stewart had a wisecrack about that: "You can't be my podiatrist!"
Pattinson's "Daily Show" interview followed two other Tuesday interviews, including a stop at "The Early Show" and then "The View," where he made his now much buzzed-about comment re: Betty White's sexy woman status (check out her response). The star kept busy late into Monday night as well at the "Remember Me" premiere and afterparty -- with his "Twilight" co-star and (maybe?) real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart by his side.
Now it's back to London for R-Patz to film "Bel Ami."

Jon Stewart is a hoot and I LUV ROBERT PATTINSON. :) I'm looking forward to seeing Remember Me.
I very much enjoyed the Jon Stewart interview and I think Rob did too. It made my night to hear him laugh so much. I continue to be impressed with his grace under pressure. Asked the same questions over and over he continues to smile and try his best to say something new and witty and sometimes even serious, such as his concern about over saturation. When faced with the screaming throngs of people, Rob continues to smile and pose and to be gracious to his fans. I am very much looking forward to Remember Me and any other film with which this actor is associated.
