'Project Runway's' Tim Gunn: Put on a blazer, stay away from yellow
The "slobification" of America has gotten to the point where fashion guru Tim Gunn of "Project Runway" constantly shudders as he sees people in pajama bottoms.
"Buy a nice, classic blazer. It's the easiest way to dress up jeans and a T-shirt," he tells Zap2it.
The only must for Spring, as he sees it, is for shoppers to buy classics that will last several seasons. Gunn says he never recommends trends.
"Anybody remember when the gladiator sandal was in?" he says. "Who could recommend such a preposterous thing? It took 20 minutes to put on."
"Yellow is one of the most difficult colors to wear," he says. "Frankly the darker your skin is the more colors the more you look good in."
