Oscar Fashion 2010: Jennifer Lopez's peplum problem

jennifer-lopez-big-gown2.jpgIf there's one thing Jennifer Lopez doesn't need, it's a Oscar gown that makes her look wider. Oh, c'mon, you know you're thinking the same thing.

But that's just what she wore to the 2010 Oscars on Sunday (Mar. 7), a stunning sparkly strapless white gown with an intriguing bodice and an inexplicable and totally unnecessary side pouf accent .

Why, Jennifer, why?

What do you think of Jen's enormous white Oscar gown?  Hide in plain sight or accentuate the obvious?

Cast your vote.

i don´t know what are you talking about, she looks gorgeous

what is up with that dreadful dress? and her hair? train wreck.

Looks made of bubble wrap!

She looked breathtaking and that dress accentuated her figure to perfection. We should all be so lucky to look so "inexplicable and wide".

Wow. That's fugly. I feel like I should go up and "pop" the dress, as it looks to be made of bubble wrap.

I have been totally befuddled by all the "pretty in pink" comments - the dress and hip-cocked pose on so many other galleries just made her look like she was there representing Jamon Jamon - as the huge hock of ham!! Just not flattering, especially since this shot made her look more svelte, inexplicably, despite all of the fabric vomit. I just don't get this dress. Or what she was thinking.

that's the first thing i thought of too i really looks like she rolled her self in bubble wrap and they way that it was so stiff on her when she moved didn't help any either!

Its called class and style.. Obviously u don't know much about it. She looked awesome, especially after having kids!

FAIL.

My ten year old son walked into the room when j. lo was on the red carpet. He simply asked "Why is that lady wearing bubble wrap?" 'Nuff said.
