Matt Damon channels Matthew McConaughey for Letterman: The sequel

Matt Damon is going to the Academy Awards this weekend, but it sounds like he's not too worked up about winning.

"I don't have a chance in hell," he jokes with David Letterman on Friday's (March 5) "Late Show" in the clip above.

Ah, but if he does win for best supporting actor in "Invictus"?

Well, he showcased a little bit of what his acceptance speech would sound like -- if he gave it as Matthew McConaughey. (It's part of a running gag when he appears on Letterman's show.) He also explains why he's wearing a New Orleans Saints jersey -- he lost a bet with "The Hurt Locker's" Anthony Mackie.

Damon's past McConaughey impersonations on "Letterman."

The more we see of Damon in clips like this, the more we'd like to hang with him.

So enjoy the Oscars, Matt. Even if you don't win.
