Lady Gaga sued: A 'Bad Romance' with alleged ex-lover/producer?

lady-gaga-mac-viva-gi.jpgHold the "Telephone." Lady Gaga has been slapped with a lawsuit.

Rob Fusari, her alleged former lover and producer, is suing Lady Gaga's company, Team Love Child and Mermaid Music, for more than $30 million, reports the New York Daily News.

Fusari claims he discovered Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta and even gave her the name Lady Gaga.

The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, states that in 2006:

"When Fusari addressed a cell phone text to Germanotta under the moniker 'Radio Gaga' (a song he used to play for her) his cell phone's spell check converted 'Radio' to 'Lady'. Germanotta loved it and 'Lady Gaga' was born."

Fusari claims that he's been cut from Lady Gaga's merchandising and recording royalties.

What do you think? Did Lady Gaga use and then dump him? What cell phone doesn't know the word "radio"?

This guy's a douche. Who sues for a nickname? How ridiculous.

most likely Lady Gaga copyrighted the name "Lady Gaga" so i dont see this guy getting far with this. Looks like someone just wanting a chance to cash in on Lady Gaga's fame.

perez hilton wont be happy with this guy.

so sick of her. just go away already.

What spell check on a cell phone will take a perfectly valid 5-letter word such as 'radio' and change it to a 4-letter word like 'lady'?

she wouldn't be the first, and surely not the last!

He's a liar. The reason she was named Lady Gaga was because a record producer named Rob Fusari she was recording with said her singing voice sounded like Freddie Mercury of Queen. He named her Lady Gaga for the Queen hit 'Radio Ga-Ga' And that's from an article on Yahoo Music from April 2009. Here's the link: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/musictoob/5172/how-did-lady-gaga-become-lady-gaga/

AmericanEagle...it IS Rob Fusari who is suing her...

Walt, you can't copyright a name (you are thinking of a trademark).

Not that I believe this guy (as he is just trying to get free money), but I doubt that ANY spellchecker would consider "Radio" misspelled, yet alone somehow recommend it to be corrected as "Lady".

Hahaha!!! I just had the blonde moment of the year!!!
