Hilary Duff wants to keep her wedding 'small.' Good luck with that

Hilary Duff might have a big engagement ring, but she wants the opposite for her wedding.

"We want to keep it small," Duff told Hollywood Life Wednesday (Mar. 10) at the Samsung 3D LED TV launch event in NYC. "[Mike's] like 'whatever you want'!"

Duff and her fiance, Oilers hockey player Mike Comrie, haven't started planning their nuptials yet. She seems to still be too busy basking in the engagement glow. Although she says she wasn't too happy right after her proposal.

"It was awful," says Duff.

No, not the proposal, but rather the paparazzi that snapped pics as Comrie kneeled down to ask her hand.

"We had no idea they were there," says Duff. "It was weird."

The paparazzi even caught her taking pics of her ginormous 14-carat rock for her mom's viewing pleasure.

"I hated that. I was taking a picture of my ring and sending it to my mom!"

The actress added that perhaps one day she'll be grateful she has the pictures. Somehow we think the paparazzi would be more than happy to do her wedding photos too.
